Forum FAQ
How do I register to use the Forum?
You must become a member of Outsourcing.org to use the forum. Membership is free. Click the Forum Registration link at the top of the Forum home page to fill out our registration form. For more instructions, please refer to our section on registration.
How do I login to the Forum?
Click the Login link at the top of the Forum home page to login. Enter your Outsourcing.org username and password, and then click the Login button. After logging in, you may create a new forum topic or reply to existing posts.
Where are the Forum topics located?
Forum topics are found under the main Forums (Outsourcing Discussion, Looking for Projects, etc.) on the Forum home page. Click one of the main Forums to see all of its topics.
How do I create a new Forum topic?
After logging in, click one of the Forums that you are interested in. When you are in the Forum, click the New Topic link at the top of the page. This will take you to a form for creating a new topic. Enter the subject of your topic along with the message (text) of your topic. When you are done, you may preview your topic by clicking the Preview button or post your topic for others to read by clicking the Post button.
How do I reply to another post?
After logging in, click one of the Forums that you are interested in. When you are in the Forum, click on the topic that you want to reply to. You may reply to the original topic by simply scrolling to the bottom of the thread and entering a message in the large text field. You may reply to any other message in the thread by clicking the Reply to this Message option at the bottom of the post. When you are done, you may preview your message by clicking the Preview button or post your message for others to read by clicking the Post button.
How do I quote another post?
After logging in, click one of the Forums that you are interested in. When you are in the Forum, click on the topic that you want to reply to. Click Quote this Message at the bottom of the post that you want to quote. The text of the post will be copied into the large text field at the bottom of the page. You may edit the text, adding your comments above, below or within the quote. When you are done, you may preview your message by clicking the Preview button or post your message for others to read by clicking the Post button.
What is My Control Center?
My Control Center allows serious Forum users to edit their user information and settings. Users may edit their signature, edit their privacy options, view and join groups, view followed threads, and change their forum settings.
