Accepting or Rejecting a BidIn a reverse auction, the sellers (not the buyers) bid on the item being auctioned - in this case a project. If you have posted a project on Outsourcing.org Projects, the odds are that you will receive at least one bid. To accept or reject a bid, click the Manage Projects button on the Outsourcing.org Projects home page or the link in the left "nav." You will be taken to a page that lists all of your projects in reverse chronological order along with their current statuses. If a project is open, you may choose a bidder by clicking the Choose Bidder link. This will take you to a page where you can select from a list service providers who have bid on your project. Click the radio button to the far left to indicate which bidder you want to choose. Then click the Choose Selected button to choose the bidder. This will send an email to the service provider and place the project in Frozen status. If the service provider rejects the award or takes too long to respond, you may choose another bidder. If you do not like any of the bids, or want to negotiate terms, you may send messages to the bidders by clicking the Send Message link next to each bidder. To close a project without selecting a bidder, click the Close Project link above the bidder selection box. See also: |
