| [ Visit Site ] The Taplin Biological Mass Spectrometry Facility at the Harvard Medical School is dedicated to the sequence analysis of peptides and proteins by mass spectrometry. Electrospray ionization is our method of choice for precise mass measurement of biological molecules. When peptides are analyzed by ion-trap mass spectrometry, the amino acid sequence is determined by tandem mass spectrometry (MS/MS) and database searching. The facility is charged with serving first those investigators at Harvard Medical School, then surrounding affiliated hospitals and institutes, and finally the Boston scientific community. |
