[ Visit Site ] The Endocrinology Laboratory, founded in 1979, is a division of the Animal Health Diagnostic Center in the Department of Population Medicine and Diagnostic Sciences at the College of Veterinary Medicine, Cornell University. The laboratory offers diagnostic endocrinology services for veterinarians and scientists to improve the health of companion, food and fiber-producing, sporting, wildlife, zoo, and laboratory animals. The lab offers a broad range of endocrine tests using three validated immunoassay technologies (radioimmunoassay, enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, chemiluminescent immunoassay). In addition to the diagnostic service, the laboratory supports researchers at Cornell and other universities throughout the world. This immunoassay service and expertise is also used by toxicological and other contract testing laboratories and the pharmaceutical industry.

The Endocrinology Laboratory provides accurate and reliable hormone assays on biological samples from many species for basic researchers and the life science industries around the world. The laboratory meets standards for laboratory services required by the New York State Department of Health and is proficiency tested by the Department of Health, the Society for Comparative Endocrinology, and Veterinary Laboratory Association.
